Damian & May May | Voyager Estate
There’s something undeniably special about a down south wedding. The moment you leave the city behind and drive into the heart of Margaret River, it’s as if time slows down. The light feels softer, the air is richer, and nature wraps around you in the most grounding way. It’s the kind of place that invites you to truly feel — and that’s exactly what made this wedding at Voyager Estate so unforgettable.
Voyager Estate is one of Margaret River’s most iconic properties — a place where manicured gardens meet sprawling vineyards, and European architecture whispers of old-world elegance. For this wedding, it was the perfect destination: refined, romantic, and wrapped in nature. Hosting a destination wedding down south means giving your guests not just a day, but an experience. From the moment they arrived, they were immersed in the natural beauty of the estate — perfectly kept rose gardens, grand tree-lined driveways, and rows of vines stretching toward the horizon. The backdrop alone felt cinematic.
With such a naturally stunning location, our design approach was all about enhancing the beauty that was already there. We leaned into a palette of soft neutrals, orange and pink tones, allowing the textures of nature stone, timber, foliage to do the heavy lifting.
The ceremony took place on the estate lawn, framed by stunning floral arrangements in vintage. Subtle blooms and thoughtful minimalism kept the focus on the couple and the setting. For the reception, we created long tables, layered with natural linens, soft candlelight, and pops of coloured florals, set the tone for an intimate celebration that still carried an air of sophistication.
Weddings in Margaret River have a magic that’s hard to replicate. There’s a sense of escape, of being in a bubble with your closest people, surrounded by world-class food, wine, and scenery. A destination wedding invites everyone to slow down and truly be present — and that’s what makes it so special. Voyager Estate gave us the perfect mix of elegance, warmth, and natural beauty to tell this couple’s story. And as the sun set over the vines we knew it wasn’t just a wedding — it was a memory etched in time.
